Naveen Jain Campaigns against Identity Theft

With identity theft fast becoming the trend among criminals, a lot of people aren’t assured that their identities are adequately protected until someone boldly says that identity crimes are preventable.

Enter Naveen Jain, CEO of Seattle-based Intelius, Inc.

Naveen Jain established Intelius to counter such a threat and return people’s identities back to those who own them. Naveen Jain believes that identity thieves leave markings, similar to fingerprints, when they strike. And when they do, they are vulnerable to countermeasures.

Intelius’ flagship service, IDWatch, is designed to prevent and detect identity theft by alerting its users of any possible fraudulent activity in real time through email. Intelius’ IDWatch provides a wide coverage of information found in public databases, such as criminal records, credit reports, and work history.

When an alteration is being made in a user’s database of information, IDWatch immediately alerts the user before any damage is done.

Intelius’ IDWatch received a lot of commendations when Naveen Jain made arrangements to give big discounts to 6.5 million military veterans who were at risk for identity theft. Originally priced at $100 for a one-year subscription, Intelius announced that the IDWatch service will be given to US military veterans for only $19.95.

Former military men and women commended this action by Naveen Jain. For the CEO of Intelius, it was his and the company’s way of showing recognition for the services these veterans provided for the country.
