Personality Test and Personality Quiz – What’s the Difference?

Both of these terms are based on the personality definition. Let’s keep it short: Your personality is a combination of all the traits and behaviors that make you unique and that determine how you are likely to act in any given situation.

A personality quiz is a series of questions (usually multiple-choice) that intends to reveal something about the person who answers them.
The large number of personality quizzes seen online are a recent internet phenomenon, originally derived from the concept of the personality test in using a set of question responses to determine something about a person’s personality and/or characteristics.

A personality test aims to describe aspects of a person’s character that remain stable throughout that person’s lifetime, the individual’s character pattern of behavior, thoughts, and feelings.

Given that the definition of personality is true, then a personality quiz and personality test are both designed to measure those traits and to quantify them into some meaningful profile that enables someone to predict how you will behave.

Thus we see that personality quiz and personality test have much in common, because the first comes from the second one.
There are dozens of personality tests that you can find in magazines and Internet:

What kind of person are you? Are you an ideal neighbor? Your perfect job! And so on, and so forth. So, you’ll surely find at least a couple to take.
