New TalkTalk Offer to Bring Major Savings for Customers
Staying true to its habit of coming out with pioneering deals, TalkTalk has announced that it will now be offering free local calls to its customers. According to Wendy Becker, Managing Director of TalkTalk, the company is always looking to give customers a better deal, and the new offer does exactly that. However, if you do want to compare the best broadband with an independent approach, click here.
Seventy percent of all calls made by costumers of TalkTalk are to local numbers. The company, supposedly wanting to make a difference in these times of recession, will now make this major portion of calls absolutely free of charge, round the clock. The offer will make it possible to access local services and stay in contact with family, friends and relatives without having to agonise over growing call charges.
TalkTalk was also the first provider to allow its customers to talk freely between themselves, and then the first to offer free bundled broadband.
However, it is not all win-win for the customers since the provider has revealed that the standard line rental charge is in for an increase to £11.25 per month. The price-hike has been made to compensate for BT’s recent line rental increase.
The free local calls offer will come into effect from the 1st of May, and thereafter from the 2nd of June, the facility will also be initiated to all 0845 and 0870 numbers.
