Success for TennisLeagueNetworks First National Tennis tournament
Waltham, MA- The first yearly USA tourney of the Tennis League Network (TLN), which manages local online tennis communities in 34 cities and metro areas, was a large success, says TLN CEO Steve Chagnan. Held November 6-8 at Crandon Park Tennis Center in Miami, FL, The event, played on hard courts, drew 31 players of all skill levels– all of the tennis participants champions in their respective local TLN leagues.

“This was an absolute delight to run as the tennis participants were all about getting out on the courts and playing some competitive tennis” said Steve Chagnan, TLN CEO. The majority of the players who attended advanced their respective tournaments to get the right to participate in the National tourney.
The individual cities leagues under the TLN umbrella serve to link local, dedicated tennis participants who love the sport of tennis. We make sure that players are attached with equally skilled tennis partners. Matches are played predominantly on public courts. It has been a highly prosperous program, Chagnan said. Since 2006, there have been more than 42,700 matches played; 2009 saw a 51% increase.
After many years of determining local champions, the conception of the USA tourney was concocted to give these players a whole new level of involvement. Today we get to see who really has the best tennis participants; Washington DC, Seattle, Austin or maybe a tennis player from a lower franchise like Minneapolis. At the very least it will be a too much tennis with some great early Nov. weather.
Enrollment begins Jan. 1st for the 2010 season for TLNs 33 online communities, which are dedicated to bringing together local tennis players of every skill level — from beginners to open players– who desire to play a lot of singles matches and make new friends. We make sure that both men and women are affiliated with tennis partners of similar tennis ablilites, says Chagnan.
